Bespoke Carbon fibre bicycles, designed and built one at a time in the Macedon Ranges of Victoria, Australia
Timeless style, engineered for ride quality, with the responsiveness and lightness only carbon fibre can deliver.
I build less than a dozen bikes every year. That's it.
Each one starts with a conversation about how you ride, where you ride, and what you want the bike to do. Not a fit calculator or a dropdown menu — an actual back-and-forth, from me, the builder, directly with you. This is how we find out what actually matters to you and how this bike can uniquely yours. From there, I engineer the geometry, tune the layup, and build the frame by hand. One frame, one rider, one builder. The process is slow and deliberate because that's what it takes to get it right.
Every tube is wound specifically for your frame. Every detail — from the head tube angle to the bottom bracket layup — is considered in the context of how you're going to use it.
What you end up with is a bike that fits the way you ride, and is built to last. A constant partner, not a disposable season's model. Each Palmer is born from a collaboration — your ideas, preferences, and riding style, brought to life with my dedicated engineering and craftsmanship. The result? A bicycle and a ride that’s not only tailored to you, but also tells your story.
I build with carbon fibre because nothing else delivers the same combination of precision and performance. You get compliance exactly where you need it while keeping the frame stiff to lay down the power. Responsiveness — the way the bike accelerates when you stand on the pedals, how it tracks through a corner — that's a blend of performance that carbon does best. Our filament wound tubing and custom layup is key to this performance. Instead of the harsh, overly-stiff ride that's become synonymous with performance carbon, this construction method lets me build in the kind of road feel you'd expect from steel or titanium. The frame takes the edge off rough surfaces. It settles into a rhythm on long days. It doesn't punish you for choosing the road less paved. This is carbon engineered for confidence and endurance, not just numbers on a spec sheet. Light enough to feel agile. Compliant enough to smooth out everything the road throws at you. Efficient enough that when you're five hours in and the gradient kicks up, nothing you put into the pedals is wasted.Carbon with soul.
Every Palmer begins as a blank canvas. While we offer four foundational designs, each frame is customized to your fit, riding style, and aesthetic vision.

From the first conversation to your first ride, the Palmer process is a journey to create a bicycle unlike any other. We collaborate with you to define every detail, ensuring your custom build reflects your performance goals and personal style. We make only a handful of frames each year so we can give each rider the focus, care, and creativity they deserve.
Here’s how your dream bike takes shape.

It all starts with you.
We’ll talk about how you ride, where you ride, and what inspires you.
Do you dream of long days in the mountains? Jostling with the bunch in a criterium?
What does your bicycle need to truly make it your own? We’ll also explore your visual tastes — colours, finishes, and details that excite you. Custom design touches are our specialty.

From your ideas, we’ll define the geometry, ride characteristics and special details that will make your Palmer uniquely yours.
This is where performance and aesthetics meet — engineering design blended with artistic flair.Every frame is custom designed down to the last detail with drawings and 3D rendering to ensure the finished design is exactly as desired. Entirely designed, engineered and hand crafted in-house for the perfect fit.

Each individual component is designed and developed in house and is bespoke to your bicycle. We use filament wound tubing customised to the riding style and demands of the customer. This type of tubing is stiff under torsion for pedaling efficiency and resisting twisting forces, while retaining compliance for a smoother ride quality. Each joint is reinforced with specifically designed plies of carbon fiber which are meticulously laid up by hand, compacted and oven cured in house.
In addition to providing an extremely strong joint, the layup is tailored to the rider tuning the stiffness to suit weight and riding style.

With the craftsmanship that goes into a Palmer frame it would be a shame to hide it. Our signature raw carbon finish shows of the beauty of carbon fibre but it can also be the blank canvas for your dream paint job. Whether it is a stylish fade or tint or a custom designed paint job we can help bring the vision to life. With your bike dialed into your exact position and ride feel, its time to experience that first ride and feel what you have created.
From that day forward, every ride is a reminder of what we created together.

Every Palmer begins with a conversation around a vision. We talk about how you ride, where you want to go and what makes your bicycle special to you - not just geometry and components.
The materials are showcased in the finish. Handcrafted Carbon fibre and polished metals on show. The finish and final build are as unique as the frame to ensure the bicycle looks as good leaning against a wall as it feels at pace. The process is unhurried by design. This allows judgement and intention to guide each step, rather than templates or efficiency. No two bicycles follow the same path.
I want a Palmer bicycle to be your dream bike. It begins with a dialogue. I want to know your story, and how you wish to experience the places you ride. This initial contact is a chance for us to connect. It’s an opportunity for you to share your intent and for me to explain how I work. There is no commitment—just a shared appreciation for what a bicycle can be.
Tell me about what brings you to a handcrafted bicycle at this point in your riding life? (Is it a specific milestone, a search for better fit, something special, or a desire for a more tactile connection to the road?)
Is there something you feel is missing from the bicycles you have ridden before? Let me know in the form below.
I respond to every enquiry personally.
Because this work is just me, please allow a little time for me to get back to you.

I build bicycles because I believe objects can be both functional and deeply personal. A bicycle reaches its full potential when it is designed and built for a specific rider — their body, their intent, and the way they want to feel on the road. This work is shaped by design discipline, material understanding, and careful decision‑making. Not speed. Not scale. What matters is clarity — in line, in feel, and in purpose. Each is a singular work, never to be reproduced.I use carbon fibre because it offers the highest performance and, when handled with care and experience, creates a ride that feels calm, balanced, and alive.Palmer bicycles are built in Australia, one at a time, for riders who value restraint over noise and experience over explanation.

This is our take on a purpose built gravel racing chassis.Featuring a custom tubeset combining the stiffness and power transfer of carbon fibre with compliance and smoothness to keep you fresher for longer.
The position is dialed in for each rider for speed and stability. Low stack, tight rear. For speed and efficiency on a wide range of surfaces, our preferred tyre for gravel racing is around 40-45mm. So the GR with 45mm of tyre clearance is right in the zone for modern rubber.Designed for all modern 1x gravel groupsets with internal routing.
Every Palmer frame is designed and built by one person so the GR will be extremely limited.
